Another year, another stick of butter on our tree 🧈 🎄

In the coming days there will be with no shortage of happy pictures on social media, and time spent in places where memories feel more vibrant. It will also come with no shortage of difficulty for those who know the weight of the empty seat at the table, a missing face from a photo and memories that hurt to reflect on.

So many happy childhood memories were spent at mommom and poppops home, where the butter was located in a dish on the kitchen counter. My cousin Sean never used the butter at their house. We later learned that he never used the butter at anyone else’s houses either.

Sean believed that because butter is purchased in the refrigerated section that it needed to be refrigerated. He didn’t trust the butter at other peoples homes, so…he never used it.

This is just one of so many hilarious memories we have of Sean. This small ornament on my tree serves as a reminder that although the holidays are extra hard, we had 18 years with Sean full of love and laughter.

It’s ok if you are struggling this holiday season. Grief is not linear and knows no timeline. You are not alone.

Hug your loved ones a little tighter for us today. Oh… and put your butter back in the fridge.

Happy World Mental Health Day! 🧠 💚

World Mental Health day serves as a reminder that our minds deserve the same care and attention as our bodies.

Today I was proud to honor this day by inviting Teen Talk Line (TTL) to share valuable resources and support with youth and their families in Chester County.

So much of my professional journey began through my time as the Lead Peer Specialist at TTL, where I was able to witness the power of youth voice firsthand. I’m grateful for the lessons I learned there and even more excited to continue building our partnership to uplift young people’s mental health and voices.

📣 Exciting News – Y Achievers at Jennersville YMCA is Growing! 📣

We’re thrilled to announce that the Y Achievers program at the Jennersville YMCA is now open to BOTH middle and high school students! 🙌

📚 Open to students in grades 5–12, Y Achievers is a dynamic, mentor-driven program designed to help young people develop leadership skills, prepare for college and careers, and connect with their community.

✨ Who Can Join?
✅ Middle School: Grades 5–8
✅ High School: Grades 9–12 (NEW this year!)

💥 Program Highlights:
✔️ Leadership development & life skills
✔️ Career and college exploration
✔️ Guest speakers, community service & more!

💲 Cost: FREE & all participants receive a FREE youth YGBW membership
