Hurricanes: below are a couple of tips to help you out during a power outage!

*Freeze water in plastic containers and place in refrigerator/freezer. This will help keep food cold by displacing air that can warm up quickly with water/ice that keeps cold for several hours.

*Electric garage door opener – find out where the manual release lever is located and learn how to operate it. Older garage doors can be heavy so get help to lift it. If this is your primary means of entry, be sure to keep a key to your house in case the garage door will not open.
