One thing we believe so deeply at Dear Mom, is that moms deserve care too. Not just survival mode. Not just pouring into everyone else until there’s nothing left. Real care. Real rest. Real moments to reconnect with themselves again. And Ryan Michelle Wall brought that reminder so beautifully to Dear Mom, 2026. 🤍

Ryan joined us not only as a breakout session leader and By Karisse Holistic Skincare & Wellbeing vendor, but also as a panel speaker during the conference weekend. In every space she stepped into, she brought such a calming, grounded, and compassionate presence to our moms.

Her breakout session centered around self-care, mental health, and creating intentional rituals that help women feel supported in the middle of everyday life. With her background in clinical psychology and the work she’s built through By Karisse, Ryan shared such thoughtful wisdom on the connection between wellness, self-preservation, and motherhood. Her message felt deeply validating for so many moms who spend most of their lives taking care of everyone around them.

What made having Ryan with us even more meaningful is her long-standing connection to the Down syndrome community through her brother-in-law, along with the love and advocacy she’s shown the Dear Mom, community for years. Ryan has been such a genuine supporter of our work, and we are endlessly grateful for the way she continues to pour into the families in this community and support our mission.

Ryan, thank you for sharing your experience, your wisdom, and your energy with our moms this year. Whether on stage, on the panel, or through the beautiful rituals you create with By Karisse, you reminded so many women that caring for themselves matters too. We are so thankful you were part of Dear Mom, 2026. 🤍

There’s something incredibly powerful about watching women reclaim their stories instead of shrinking them. And that’s exactly what Kate Milligan encouraged our moms to do at Dear Mom, 2026. 🤍

Kate led a breakout session titled “Reclaiming Your Story: The Power of One Woman’s Story,” and it resonated so deeply with so many women in the room. As mothers raising children with disabilities, it can be easy for our identities, dreams, voices, and experiences to quietly get pushed to the side while we focus on caring for everyone else. Kate’s message was such a beautiful reminder that our stories matter too.

Through her work as the founder of and host of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, Kate has dedicated her life to amplifying authentic stories and showing women the impact their voices can have on the world around them. And during her session, she created such a safe and empowering space for our moms to reflect on their own journeys, the strength they carry, and the importance of sharing their experiences with honesty and courage.

Kate, thank you for sharing your wisdom, your heart, and your passion for storytelling with the Dear Mom, community. The conversations you sparked throughout the day were so meaningful, and we are incredibly grateful you were part of Dear Mom, 2026. 🤍
