The LGS holds monthly luncheon meetings featuring technical presentations on geology, annual events, and other social gatherings.
Join us today for lunch (11:30 -12) at the Petroleum Club! LGS, SIPES and SAGE will present Dr. Mike Smith, president of Advanced Hydrocarbon Stratigraphy Inc.. Dr. Smith will present his talk, titled, "Cuttings Volatiles: Produce more Oil, More Gas, and Less Water". It is sure to be a great talk so don't miss it!
Also, make plans to join everyone this evening (5-7pm) at the Lafayette Science Museum for the LGS Christmas Social! Dr. Jen Hargrave (ULL) will lead us all on a private tour of new exhibit, "Natural Born Killers"! This event is free and is open to both members and non-members. ULL's AAPG student chapter will provide refreshments in the form of a cash bar, with proceeds benefiting the student chapter.
