Psycho Reggae

I created this in a few days as an entry into the Drumeo and Alesis 30 Day Independence contest. I'm a programmer so I'm not used to getting the Unreal cinematics engine and Adobe Premiere to do my bidding. There are some audio video sync issues and I didn't have time to put drumsticks on the robot. Worse yet, I accidentally used one of my warm-up recordings instead of my actual performance recording, so the timing gets a little bumpy. Rats! Eh, oh well. It was a great learning experience and I had a lot of fun.

Bucket list item checked off. And it’s a big one. For me anyway. I’ve always imagined getting my “dream kit”, something beautiful and fancy and musical. After years of saving, I finally ordered it. Custom made to my specifications back in November of 2021, it finally arrived a couple weeks ago. I wanted to straighten and organize and paint the room before I set it up. And now that I have it, I am SO glad I do. I love it.

Also pictured, my trusty old drum kit that has served me well my whole life. Some of the best memories of my life were made with this kit. I shined it up and have it displayed prominently in a place of honor in the practice space.

Going through old boxes and found this box of stuff from the distant past. Sci-fi digests, Transformers, and some cassettes, including a still-in-the-shrink wrap copy of Atmosphere. Yes, I was too old to be fu***ng around with Transformers after Atmosphere came out. I REGRET NOTHING!!!
