Paws & Learn: Kitten Summer School 🐾

All July long, we’re sharing quick, helpful kitten info for fosters and followers to make kitten season easier!

🍼 How Often Should Kittens Eat?

Kittens grow quickly, and their tiny bodies need the right nutrition at every stage of life!

🐾 Newborn kittens (0-4 weeks): Need frequent feedings throughout the day and night. If they do not have a mom to nurse them, orphaned kittens need kitten milk replacer and a strict feeding schedule.

🍽️ Kittens (4-8 weeks): Begin the weaning process and slowly transition from milk to kitten food. They need several small meals each day as they learn to eat on their own.

🐱 Kittens 8+ weeks: Should be eating kitten food regularly, with meals throughout the day to support their continued growth.

A healthy kitten is a well-fed kitten! Providing the right food at the right age helps kittens grow into happy, healthy cats.
