A huge thank you to everyone who kept me in their prayers and good wishes while I was at the hospital at CHOP. As you know if you’ve been following along, I had to have extra testing and an additional sedated testing/procedure that delayed our time in Philadelphia. In addition, my other doctors appointments didn’t go as planned either. Thankfully, we are back home, although I am having more labs today and my parents spoke with two of my doctors yesterday for more than an hour. I will not even begin to try to explain things here, my mom is the best person to give you the details. Thank goodness she’s a RN! Please know I’m grateful to you for caring about me!

My mom met an angel in Philadelphia, Mr. Marty O’ Rourke. We want to say a special thank you for your kindness, generosity, and unexpected support to our family at a very difficult time!

Today MAYFEST is FINALLY here! Come to Jack Beagles in NoDa to support this longstanding Benefit for Hospice! Come out to enjoy great music from fabulous bands starting at 1 PM. Bring your friends and please support an incredible cause near and dear to our hearts! 💜💚💜

The music starts at 1 PM, delicious food, wonderful friends… it’s a great way to spend your Saturday! Rachel and I perform at 2:45 PM.

MAYFEST 2026 is happening Saturday, May 30 at Jack Beagles in NoDa Arts District in Charlotte, NC! It’s an annual fundraiser for Hospice and we feel so honored to have been asked to perform! Hospice was an important part of our Papa’s end of life in 2015, and as a nurse my mom has worked closely with hospice through the years.

This FREE event is going to have so many incredible bands starting at 1 PM and going all day! Check the times in the photo, Rachel and I are scheduled for 2:45 PM. This is such a worthy cause…great music, delicious food, fun location…it’s going to be a party all day!

It’s great to have a weekly gig, with people who value and respect women in music…especially when three performances in the same week that had been on the calendar for weeks get canceled without warning. My time is valuable, especially when my health doesn’t leave me a lot of energy. When I make a commitment I show up, no matter how badly I feel, I’m going to make sure the audience doesn’t know how I’m feeling, because I’m a professional. I just ask for the same courtesy in return.

I needed Tuesday night! Thank you Scott for always believing in me, and bringing me back week after week! Thank you to everyone else for asking which night I’m performing and coming out to listen. That’s why they continue to have me back every week! I choose to live in joy, gratitude and peace! Thank you David for capturing this photo of me!
