The Three Rivers Rambler is a Knoxville tourism staple. We currently operate on a seasonal schedule. We run weekend passenger trips from Black Friday-December 23rd. This 2 hour excursion follows the Tennessee River from University Commons up to the Three Rivers Trestle before making it's return trip. Knoxville, thank you for another season we’ll never forget.

This year, we had the rare joy of celebrating 25 years of memories together and 203’s 100th birthday — capped off by her long-awaited return to steam. None of it would have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, staff, or the countless familiar and new faces who lined the tracks, waved from crossings, and climbed aboard with us.

With just over 40 trips behind us, it’s time for 203 — and all of us — to settle in for a winter’s nap.

Our MacGyvers!

Brent Norvell joined the Rambler Crew back in 2004—an engineer, a fireman, and our beloved onboard Director of Magic.

This year, Carter Norvell officially stepped up from volunteering with passenger staff, helping maintain pullback trains in the merch car, and spot-fixing the sound system during trips, to serving as a fireman aboard 203.
