Someone asked what is Stan Saturday?

It’s a cup full of coffee. A bag full of snacks. A clean shirt or a pair of socks. It’s a “Happy to see you.” and “I’m so proud of your new job.” It’s homemade banana nut bread and soo many hugs. It’s just a conversation and even more listening. It’s remembering to bring sunscreen for a friend who had asked. And a bottle of water that doesn’t come with a lecture. It’s standing in the rain during concessions instead of canceling. It’s driving for more than 5 hours to serve and disappointed when you have to work. It remembering the puzzle books and grabbing a few bus passes. It’s seeing friends who you’ve actually missed.

Stan Saturday is being Jesus, on purpose.
