Happy first day of Fall 🍁. We celebrated by making a fall craft. We traced our hands, cut, and taped our hands on another piece of paper. We used bath loofahs to paint our colorful leaves. Once done with painting we took the hand stencil off and we were left a beautiful fall tree, with our hands and fingers representing the tree long and branches. As an art therapist, I strongly encourage the use of other materials for arts and crafts, such as using a bath loofah to paint. This will allow children to express their art skills, think outside the box, and be more creative in the future.

Practice makes improvement. However it is important that we stay patient, provide children with activities that can help their minds grow, their muscles get stronger, and they learn (not just memorize).
