However, the journey is just starting and it is not easy: most refugees have never been abroad and don’t speak foreign languages. Project Peppa’s goal is to help refugees from Ukraine get to their final destination, one family at a tim
Since February 24th, almost 1,000,000 Ukrainian refugees have entered Romania. Our team of volunteers (many from Seattle) is on duty at the Bucharest airport 24/7 since April and provides tailored support for each family in need. Please help us help them! Here is what your donation could do
$2 - one sandwich;
$15 - taxi to the train/bus station;
$25 - groceries for family of four per day;
$30 - one Covid test;
$45 - hotel night;
$65 - one suitcase;
$100 - pet fee;
$300 - one ticket further to Europe;

Continuing the topic of volunteering at Bucharest Airport, I would like to thank the charity Project Peppa, thanks to which all this assistance is provided.
Yes, I flew and lived there for my own money and on my initiative, but almost everything we did for refugees was financed from this fund, which is filled thanks to the donations of caring people:

Please remember that even $10 is 4 sandwiches for a person, $ 70 is a hotel room, and $ 100 is someone's ticket or just a lot of money for someone who has nothing not left
I can say firstly, it is 100% of the money that goes directly to help, and secondly, even small money can do great things! If 50 people throw in even $ 10, that's enough to feed people for a week.
