The first of many little guys 🩷

I love this movie so much and if you haven’t seen it, Your Name is a masterpiece. Like seriously, really LOVE this movie. It is actually where my page’s name came from. So for those who are curious (because I do get asked this quite a lot actually lol)- when deciding a name for my business this movie was the inspiration behind it!

There is a scene where the teacher is explaining the definition of Twilight and foreshadowing some later events in the movie, she explains:

“Tasokare” or Two-light it is the origin of the word “Twilight”. It’s dusk, a time when it is neither day nor night. When the border between worlds blur and one might encounter something not human. Another older term is “dusk light” some people also call it golden hour or magic hour.

So there you have it lol my page name is actually just “Twilight” tattoo.

In all seriousness though, I did think it would be fun to share that aspect of choosing what to call my page because it’s hard finding a gimmick for tattooing when most correlate to something skin related. This way, I tied it into my particular style and values. Kind of cool right? Now you know. 😌

This one is a challenge to do ALL of them.

I have seen so many artists do this, so many different ways, and I am so excited to do one myself! Starting with the original 151 pokemon list, of course!!

There are no rules for which ones you can get or how many, etc. I kept thinking back to the thought that, “every Pokemon is SOMEONE’S favorite” so I didn’t really want to do a roulette or anything closed off like that. Simply, the first one I do will be the one I count towards the challenge to mark off. Eeeee!! Help me out guys!!! 🥺🩷

So I started this blast over/cover up piece for myself today (didn’t have time to do the background)- with the only goal being to distract from what was already there.

What was there you’re wondering? Well it was ONLY my first EVER tattoos I did on myself… back when I first held a tattoo machine during my apprenticeship.

Growth can be so bittersweet but it was time to add something more flattering.
