🌿Taking a Little Time Off- Tomándome un Descanso🌿

Hey friends,
I just wanted to share that I’ll be taking a break from the business for a bit. My dad passed away recently, and I need some time to grieve and be with family.

If things have seemed quiet on this page the last few months, this is why. Life’s been a bit heavy behind the scenes, and I appreciate you all sticking around.

I’m hoping to be back in a few weeks, and I’m so grateful for your support and understanding.

❄️ Found the EASIEST recipe for these butter mints, so I thought I'd share the recipe with y'all since I made em recently and can confirm- super easy and super addictive.

❄️ Ingredients

8 ounce package cream cheese that's room temperature
3 tablespoons of softened butter (I use salted- ALWAYS)
1 & 1/4 teaspoons peppermint extract (can find in the spice section of your local grocery store)
8 cups powdered sugar (and a little extra for dusting your parchment paper)
Food coloring (whichever colors your heart desires)

❄️ Directions

In a bowl, mix your butter and cream cheese on low until well incorporated (shouldn't take but a few minutes).

Add your peppermint extract and mix.

Now slowly add (a cup at a time) your powdered sugar. Once the 8 cups have been added, check to see if your dough is sticky. If it is, add half a cup more of powdered sugar- we want playdough like consistency for these.

Now divide your batter into as many bowls as you want colors. I did 3 colors and white as my fourth. While mixing in the colors, cover the other bowls to avoid them drying out while you're working. I used damp paper towels and they were perfect.

On your parchemnt sheet, dust it with powdered sugar (this will help your butter mints dry out and soak up any excess moisture).

Fold in the color into your batter until it becomes one solid color.

Now, using a teaspoon measuring spoon, scoop out a ball and place it on the parchment sheet. Use a fork coated in powdered sugar to make the design by pressing it into the tops.

Once you're done rolling out and placing your design, let dry on the counter for up to 3 hours or until the butter mints are dry to the touch!
