we celebrated our paw-patrol obsessed Gravey biscuit boy somehow turning two 🐶 and although I am in complete denial that he “technically” no longer a “baby” — it was the best, most simple birthday full of too much cake, lots of cousin time, and enjoying a backyard we prayed for years to have full of the people who love. happiest birthday to the boy who quadrupled our hearts the day he arrived. you, Graves Christopher, are the best birthday present I’ve ever been given. ❤️💛💙

this past weekend we had the chance to head *even further* south to visit my sister & brother in law in Key West, Florida and had the best time! I actually hadn’t been to the keys since middle school and it was Blake’s first time down there, so it was fun to be able to explore it together. While it was quite cold 🥶 and extremely windy, we still had a great time exploring everything Key West has to offer!
normally if I was booking a trip I’d have researched all the things beforehand. Make lists. Screenshot all the *must have* dishes. Etc etc. But it was so nice to be able to sit back and let my in-laws show us around the town they’ve been hanging out in for a few weeks now.
After doing all the things, here’s my personal recs (if you’re a planner like me, save this post 😊)
🍣 sushi and lobster pad Thai from
^ honestly this was probably the best meal we had the entire time and it was just a WOM rec from a local, highly highly recommend
🍋🟩 key lime pie from
^ they also sell full frozen pies which is great if you’re wanting to bring one home and have later, boys loved the mini white chocolate key lime cookies I got for them
💣 got some steps in and did a quick walking tour of Fort Taylor — great views and fun for the history lovers
🍹 hands down best margarita
🥂 brunch vibes and service were phenomenal at
🐟 fresh seafood straight from the docks
🌮 buffalo lobster bites and tuna nachos were incredible from
🍺 a key west staple and had a fun live band
