Navy commemorates the birth of the Navy (October 13th, 1775) by holding a Gala Birthday Celebration Ball. The ball is designed to enhance a greater appreciation of our Navy heritage, and to provide a positive influence toward pride and professionalism in the naval service. This ball is organized and put on by the members of the base themselves. They do not receive funding from any government source, therefore, to cover the cost of putting on the ball, the naval personnel have to pay, out of pocket, to attend the ball. This year, from the profits of this car show, we are hoping to raise enough money to be able to defray most of or even completely pay for the cost of personnel from the Key West Naval Air Station, to put on, and attend the ball. It is our sincerest wish that this, our first year, 2012, through the efforts of our volunteers, the donations from our sponsors, and the show attendance by you, we can, together, make this happen, and that we continue to make this happen for many years to come.
