What's the difference between Market Value, Assessed Value, and Taxable Value?

These three values are not the same and only TAXABLE VALUE is used to calculate your property taxes.

🏠 Market Value = What your property is worth on the market as of January 1.

πŸ“‹ Assessed Value = Market Value after any assessment limits or caps per statute (Homestead or Non-Homestead).

πŸ’² Taxable Value = Assessed Value minus any eligible exemptions, like Homestead.

Understanding these values can help you better understand your property tax bill!

If you have any other questions regarding these values and how they are calculated, give us a call! 305-292-3420
