Bahama Village Music Program

This year’s Crooks Second Line Scholarship recipients are: Matteui Bastillada and Jaxon Thurston!! These fine musicians are heading to an all expense paid trip to Berklee School of music in Boston, MA. There they will participate in the 5 week Aspire program and they will learn various genres of music and play with and learn from musicians and teachers from all over the world. BVMP/Crooks Second line couldn’t be more proud of them both. Not only are they great teachers here with our program at BVMP they are also members of the Key West High School Band. In August both students are heading to college where music will continue to be their focus. Matteui is attending Berklee School of Music in Boston and Jaxon is heading to the University of Florida. It has been an honor to witness their journey and we wish them best of luck on their life’s ventures!!! What a way to represent Richard Crooks!!!💜💛💚
