🌈 Happy Pride Month from BLS 🌈
Pride is more than a celebration—it's a reminder that visibility, opportunity, and community matter.
As an LGBTQIA+ owned business, BLS is committed to building a stronger, more inclusive future for the live events, entertainment, and production industries. We proudly support q***r, BIPOC, and other underrepresented artists, technicians, designers, and creators by creating opportunities for learning, mentorship, professional growth, and meaningful collaboration.
We know that innovation happens when different perspectives are welcomed, respected, and empowered. That's why equity, accessibility, and community impact aren't initiatives for us—they're part of how we do business every day.
This Pride Month, we celebrate the individuals who continue to challenge barriers, inspire change, and make our industry more vibrant, creative, and inclusive for everyone.
We're proud to stand with the LGBTQIA+ community—not just in June, but all year long.

Today is DMX Day — a nod to the technology that controls lighting and effects in concerts, theaters, attractions, museums, and immersive experiences all over the world. 🎛️💡
If you’ve ever watched lights move perfectly with music, color shifts transform a space, or a show moment hit at exactly the right second… there’s a good chance DMX was behind it.
It’s one of the invisible systems that helps turn ideas into experiences — and we’re proud to work with it every day.

It's Earth Day! 🌎 Here at BLS we take sustainability seriously.
Take a look back at some of our green-integrated event designs! Integrating hanging florals in our drapes, bamboo lanterns covered in ivy, and lantern lit forest paths.
Some ways we follow sustainable practices in our company include:
🌸Repairing broken equipment so it lasts longer
🌸Recycling batteries
🌸Creating reusable event solutions
🌸Using high quality hardware that has multiple uses and will last for years
🌸Supporting partners that have similar sustainable values and requirements

We’re honored to share that BLS has won the 2026 ECAA Award for Best Technical Production for Jungle Party at Woodland Park Zoo.
This one was special. From over 3,500 yards of custom-fabricated drapery suspended across the tent ceilings, to engineered rigging systems supporting lighting, audio, projection, IMAG, and show control — every element had to work together as one system.
The result was an immersive environment that felt seamless to guests and supported an incredible fundraising night.
Huge thank you to for the trust, and to every partner (especially ) and crew member who made this happen. Excited to do it again this year!

Not many people get to see a theatre from this view.
That’s , who runs our drape shop, high above the historic Liberty Cinema in Wenatchee during a recent restoration.
After part of the ceiling collapsed earlier this year, we worked with the cinema owner, city, architects, and the historical board to help bring the theatre back while preserving the character of this 1919 movie palace.
Our team designed and fabricated historically accurate theatre curtains in our shop, complete with custom tassels, then installed them alongside a new all-black acoustical ceiling.
Swipe to see the collapse and restoration progress.
Historic theatre restoration takes a mix of fabrication, architectural coordination, and historic detailing — and it’s a service we’re proud to offer.
