NEW UPDATE at 6:27: I-90 milepost 34 to 106 between North Bend and Ellensburg: Westbound motorists are experiencing up to 2 hours of added travel time. Eastbound motorist are experiencing up to 30 minutes of added travel time due to winter driving conditions over Snoqualmie Pass.

NEW UPDATE at 5:20:
Conditions on Snoqualmie Pass are deteriorating. WSDOT says vehicles must have AWD or chains to traverse I-90 right now.

UPDATE:
I-90 both east and westbound is now open. Westbound, traction tires required, eastbound traction tires advised. Drivers should expect a lengthy delay in both directions after the hours long closure.

TRAVEL ALERT: I-90 is CLOSED in both directions at Snoqualmie Pass after hours of heavy snowfall, several spin outs and collisions. Compact snow and ice on the roadway. I-90 closed at eastbound at MP 47 and westbound at Easton MP 71 to due multiple spun out vehicles and collisions. We will update this post with the latest information. Please alert people you know who might be driving on I-90.
