đ¨ PARENT ALERT: Instagram has introduced new AI features powered by Muse Image.
One feature parents should know about: if your teen has a public Instagram account, other people can use their public posts and reels as inspiration for AI-generated images by tagging their account in a prompt.
The good news? If your childâs account is private, these features donât apply. If their account is public, Meta has made this setting opted in by default, but you can turn it off.
To disable it:
đą Go to Instagram Profile
â° Tap the three-line menu
âď¸ Select Sharing and reuse
âĄď¸ Find âAllow people to use your content on Instagram and with AI features on Metaâ
â Toggle Posts and Reels off.
One important note: Changing this setting only prevents your future posts and reels from being used. It wonât remove AI images that may have already been created using content that was previously available.
Why does this matter? AI tools make it easier than ever to manipulate real photos. While many people will use them for fun, they can also be misused to create inappropriate or sexualized images without a personâs consent. Thatâs why itâs so important to help kids think carefully about what they share publicly online.
Have you checked your familyâs Instagram privacy settings lately?
In a recent webinar featuring we discussed one of the most powerful ways to build a girlâs confidence:
Teach her that her body is more than how it looks.
Our daughters are listening to how we talk about our own bodies. When they learn their value goes far beyond appearance, theyâre better prepared to reject messages that objectify and reduce people, including those found in p*rnography.
The conversation starts earlier than most parents think. đЎ
What messages about body image do you hope your daughter hears from you?

đşđ¸ Freedom is something we celebrate every Fourth of July. But true freedom isnât only about a nation, itâs also about our ability to choose what is good, healthy, and life-giving.
P*rnography addiction works by convincing the brain that it needs something harmful to survive. Over time, that craving can limit a personâs ability to choose freely.
Thatâs why prevention matters. By preparing children before exposure happens and helping them build an internal filter, we can protect their freedom to make healthy choices in a digital world.
This Independence Day, letâs celebrate and safeguard freedom in every sense of the word. â¤ď¸đ¤đ
