We help patients regain or retain their optimal level of independence through physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy and wellness services.

For Employee Wellness Month we asked our employees one simple question.
How do you spend a 5-minute micro break?
The answers were surprisingly consistent. 🌿
Whether it’s taking a walk in the sunshine, stretching between patients, practicing deep breathing, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, or sharing a laugh with coworkers, our employees know that small moments of self-care can make a big difference.
Three themes stood out:

At Powerback, wellness isn’t always about making big changes. Sometimes it’s as simple as stepping away, taking a breath, and resetting before helping others do the same.

During Men’s Health Week, we’re celebrating the power of perseverance, purpose, and the impact that movement can have on quality of life. 💙
A U.S. Army Veteran who served in Vietnam, Ron’s story is one of determination and an incredible comeback. After beginning hospice services in July 2025 and graduating from hospice in March 2026, Ron set his sights on regaining strength and independence. With the support of physical therapy and a commitment to consistent hard work, he progressed from needing extensive assistance with transfers to completing car transfers with minimal assistance.
“I never thought we would be able to take him on a drive or out to eat again. I feel like we got my dad back!” — Ron’s daughter
After hearing about his progress, Ron’s family was eager to try a car transfer so they could take him on a drive and out for a meal. When he successfully completed the transfer, it opened the door to experiences they thought might never happen again.
Today, Ron is once again enjoying outings with his family, proving that meaningful goals can inspire remarkable progress. His journey is a powerful reminder of the resilience of our veterans and the importance of supporting men’s health, strength, and independence at every stage of life.
