happy valentine’s day !!

shout out to my forever valentine — this man is such a gift from God and no better way to celebrate him but to share this song he helped me write.

one of our top marriage goals is that we’d always enjoy + love each other so much that we’d always choose the long way home to spend as much time together as possible.

it’s more of a metaphor these days, but it’s where our love started. and we pray this kind of love over all the couples we do life with and know.

CAN WE GIVE IT UP FOR MY HUSBAND? ❤️‍🔥

I don’t usually get all lovey dovey on here, but I am so grateful for the love of my life! Last week (while getting ready for my album release) we were SO BUSY (music practices, running around, vendor convos, etc)… and he took it like a champ — taking extra care of our boy, doing sleep training with our kiddo on his own, cleaning the house and on top of that — CELEBRATING OUR 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

I am so, so blessed by this man! God just knew He was the right one for me!!

Also, this song — “Long Way Home” was his idea and is a metaphor for our relationship! We used to always try and take the long way home while dating… we just loved hanging out and never wanted our times together to end … and our prayer is that we NEVER stop feeling that way! And so far, God is completely honoring that prayer!

So, to my hubs: thank you for all you do and who you are! I love you to the moon and back! Cheers to all God is doing in our lives! And cheers to 3 years baby cakes!

Also, fun fact: he wrote the hook of this song! (I forgot to mention it during the show on Friday and he let me hear it!! lol)😂

YESTERDAY WAS A DREAM!! 🥰

Thank you so much to every single person who supported and came out to my album release party yesterday! My little God-fearing, musician heart is elated and still buzzing!!

From April until now, we’ve been working hard (and believing in a major way) to fulfill the vision God gave me and my videographer/brother to host an intimate, lounge-styled concert on a rooftop in Kansas City (we’ve been dreaming of this for 5+ years now) and last night was it!! PLUSSSS — we recorded it on video and audio for a live album!! CRAZYYYY!! GOD IS CRAZY GOOD!

The rain held off — thanks Jesus!
The wind died down — thanks Jesus!
And my team was just incredible!! — thanks Jesus!

I’m so blessed!! And now realizing that this is not the culmination of anything, but the BEGINNING!
