A day of remembrance.

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer in Montana.

The lakes are waking back up. Boats are returning to the water. Small towns are buzzing again after a long winter. Mountain mornings feel softer somehow this time of year.

But before the unofficial start of summer begins, today is really about remembering. Honoring the men and women who gave everything for the freedoms we live every day — including the ability to gather with family, spend weekends outside, and call places like Montana home.

There’s something meaningful about slowing down long enough to appreciate both the beauty around us and the sacrifice that made it possible.

Whether your weekend looks like time on the lake, backyard barbecues, hiking trails, or simply being together — I hope it’s filled with gratitude, reflection, and moments that matter.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.
