Remember when, in 2022, I did my best impression of Jennifer Lawrence in her iconic (and endlessly memeable) Hot Ones appearance, screaming “what do you mean? WHAT DO YOU MEAN??” having just discovered that the culturally beloved and *supposedly Irish* Shamrock Shake (of fame) was NOT, in fact, Bailey’s and coffee but instead merely MINT and CHOCOLATE?? Neither of which (although delicious) have ANYTHING to do with Ireland??

Yes, well. You had to have been there. I was horrified. I still am! But I made a macaron about it and have each year since. Mint and chocolate still have nothing to do with Ireland, but like everyone else I’ve just accepted the combination as a March tradition and tbh at this point it would feel like Ain’t Pat’s without them. And, as ever, they’ll be available as the rotator at during the weekends festivities! 🍀 Check out their insta for event times tomorrow and Sunday!

Unbeknownst to me, the first time her oldest daughter experienced sugar, it was at the Holiday Stroll where I (as the Sugar Plum Fairy) offered her a macaron! 🥹✨🌸 What a lovely way to mark our fifth year in business. It was a little over a year ago when for the first time in my young life I was politely informed that no, the iconic “shamrock shake” (of fame) is NOT a coffee and Irish cream milkshake. I cannot stress enough how absolutely scandalized I was to discover that it’s just…mint? And chocolate? Which (although delicious) have nothing to do with Ireland??

As a sucker for themes, I present a tasty interpretation: minty milk chocolate buttercream studded with tender, rich chunks of our flourless chocolate cake. Normally, I would have called it Grasshopper Pie, but as they say: “everyone’s a little Irish on Saint Patrick’s Day”. 🙄😂 🇮🇪 🍀
