My goal is to help make physical therapy standard practice for women during pregnancy and during the postpartum period. This is such an important time to strengthen, facilitate healing, and restore activity safely. I emphasize pelvic floor training, core strengthening, and movement and body mechanic training. I also use manual therapy techniques, personalized exercises to improve strength and flexibility, movement analysis and training, and personalized treatment plans designed for each patient.

Posture! A woman's posture and center of gravity change dramatically during and after pregnancy. Most women will find themselves leaning back and increasing that arch in your low back (so you don't fall forward). A quick fix: engage your core and tuck your hips/bottom down slightly, and think about stacking your ribs right over your pelvis. Stand tall! Stand strong!
