Clematis - the "Queen of Vines"
She's a highly popular perennial, vining plant in the buttercup family. She's celebrated for her stunning ornamental blooms and come in hundreds of cultivars! When thinking about clematis, always remember they thrive with their "heads in the sun and feet in the shade". She's going to want her upper vines in a least 6 hours of sun, but her roots to be kept cool and shaded with deep mulch or low-growing companion plants. With proper growing conditions and care, she will give a beautiful show year after year.
