Recently Benton Employment had the honor of hosting Southwest Michigan First and Disability Network at the delicious Brick and Brine restaurant! We want to thank everyone who came out to network and learn more about the resources available in our area for individuals with disabilities.

We are hiring!
We help people with disabilities get jobs and keep jobs.
We are in need of 2 Job Coaches and one Job Developer.
The Job Coach is responsible for helping our customers through the onboarding process. We also help them through the training process until we and the employer feel they are working at the standard level of their peers. It is different with every case, as it is all based on their abilities and work-based needs. Some need tons of help, and some need a person there "just in case". We would like someone with experience as a Para Pro, or 1-year experience working with folks who have disabilities. The hours fluctuate and are approx. 20 hours a week and are wherever the individuals become employed. We work with students and adults. Job Coaches make $18 hourly.
The Job Developer position consists of helping individuals find employment. Sometimes that means cold calling, doing the application yourself, preparing them for the interview, and then meeting them at the interview. Sometimes it is a matter of cold calling and giving them the lead to apply themselves. It is always based on their ability and we help them succeed. We try not to do the things they can do, as it is all about making them as independent as possible. This position is a salary position.
