Michigan weather keeps us on our toes.

Warmer temperatures through mid March are great, but freeze thaw cycles and late season storms can still cause hidden roof damage.

We appreciate the updates and storm tracking from Michigan Storm Chasers that help keep communities informed as conditions change.

If your roof took a beating this winter, spring is the perfect time for an inspection.

Worthy Construction is fully licensed and insured and we are always happy to provide honest assessments.

Stay prepared, Michigan.

Michigan Storm Chasers

Man does the first two weeks of March look like spring! Temperatures remain warm through that mid month timeframe.. so enjoy it while you can! What comes after mid month remains to be seen. But let's remember, this IS Michigan after all.. winter is likely not done yet. (But one can hope, right?)

March in Southwest Michigan rarely sits still. One day feels like spring. The next feels like winter again. Those temperature swings can put real stress on your home.

This time of year, freeze and thaw cycles tend to reveal small issues that developed over the winter months.

As we move further into March, it is worth paying attention to:

• Roof edges and flashing after ice buildup
• Gutters and how well water is draining
• Signs of moisture in the attic
• Areas where siding and roofing meet

These are not usually big dramatic problems. They are early signals.

Catching them now can help prevent larger repairs later, especially as we move toward heavier spring rains.

If you have questions about what you are seeing around your home, we are always happy to help you think it through.

We may have had a few pre-spring weather days lately, but Michigan always keeps us on our toes.

Warm-ups, cold snaps, snow one week and sunshine the next — it’s all part of the rhythm here. And while the forecast shifts, our team stays ready for whatever winter decides to throw back at us.

From ice dams to roof raking and everything in between, we’re prepared for the pop-up winter days that tend to show up when you least expect them.

Staying ready. Staying steady.
