Surprised my phone is actually charged for once.

Writing books takes a toll and is like a year-long thought experiment that bubbles beneath the surface. Not being a naturally talented writer, I find it takes revisions on revisions to be sensible and passable. When drafting, we can have a conversation and my mind wanders to holes in the draft and I want to enjoy this time with my kids without the anchor or deadlines or diminishing bandwidth. I may return to writing in the future, but I am also fulfilled in the sense that I accomplished more than I set out to do. I'm proud of what I've put out there, and also don't have the energy to compete with AI. Not against it, it's just not for me. I will always be proud that One Hit Away was released before the whole publishing landscape changed, for better or worse. Whew!
