Summertime is almost here, and I can’t wait to slow down and spend some quality time basking in the Florida sun—just like this adorable little guy. ☀️🌴

“Fractured Light.”

Framed by the skeletal structure of the sunken ship, our model diver hovers within a narrow entryway on the Kittiwake where light and shadow collide. This image was a result of experimenting with backlighting and off camera strobes, illuminating the diver from behind which helped to reveal the textures inside of the wreck.

Captured during my recent workshop with , this is a very different shot for me, and I’m happy to add some diversity to my portfolio. I feel the backlighting adds depth and contrast, guiding the viewer through the structure and enhancing the feeling of exploration.
