Hello, friends and followers! Welcome to the 2026 season at the Last Chance Mining Museum, the most historically-authentic attraction in Juneau! We open Saturday, May 16, noon-5 - and it's FREE, so bring your family and pals. Best part: fascinating books published by the Gastineau Channel Historical Society will be offered for free or at a discount. We have a pretty sweet inventory. Speaking of sweet, Rainbow Foods will provide (drum roll, please - back by popular demand) sourdough treats. So, make your way to the end of Basin Road and hike the hill to the LAST remaining building from Juneau's amazing gold mining days. And, let your visitors know that our regular hours will be THURSDAY THRU MONDAY, 2 - 5, $5 CASH ONLY.
