Tongass Roadless Rule | First Things First Foundation 08/11/2011

The news you've been waiting to hear: First Things First and about a dozen organizations, companies and individuals along with the State of Alaska, are suing the federal government to abolish the Tongass Roadless Rule, which if adopted, would decimate the economy in SE Alaska. We've ponied up $5,000 today for this effort and we need your contributions, no matter how small. Learn more on our website.

Tongass Roadless Rule | First Things First Foundation The US Forest Service has unilaterally decided to close off 92 percent of the Tongass National Forest by implementing new roadless rule regulation, which will be applied to future development, including timber harvests, mining, and hydroelectric and other renewable energy projects.
