Like many team members who work behind the scenes, Grace is humble. That's why she offers few words about her retirement from The Village in Indianola after 34 years ... but that doesn't mean the experience hasn't been meaningful for her, or that she hasn't made an impact. Trust us: She has!

As author Lailah Gifty Akita says, "When your environment is clean, you feel happy, motivated, and healthy." What's more, WesleyLife's housekeeping teams are presented with up-close and personal opportunities to help residents understand what our organization's hospitality emphasis is all about.

Residents and team members at The Village will celebrate Grace later today. In the meantime, take a moment to let her tell you why The Village has been a great place to work!

Summer at WesleyLife kicked off with great food, a little friendly competition and, most importantly, time together.

Strong organizations are built on strong relationships. Taking time to connect with colleagues, share a laugh, and enjoy one another’s company helps build the trust, collaboration and camaraderie that carry into our work every day.

Our Network Support Center team in Johnston recently gathered for a summer lunch and a few games of bags. It was a simple reminder that investing in one another is always time well spent!

Team members at the WesleyLife Network Support Center in Johnston celebrated National Day of Joy on Wednesday in the most organic way possible: They enjoyed a blue-sky summer day with a lunchtime walk to a nearby park, setting themselves up for more a productive and stress-free afternoon!

A recently study published in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports showed workers who regularly walk for 30 minutes at lunchtime enjoy more enthusiasm for afternoon tasks, less tension, and better coping ability. As a health and well-being organization, we couldn't agree more than those benefits are worth a half hour away from our desks!
