Dear JES Family,

I left Island Oaks and joined a family in a distant land, where massive glaciers shape the meadows and peaks. The Utes dominated the area until the late 1700s, until the gold rush of 1859 drew hopeful miners and speculators. When traveling through today, you’re sure to see elk, moose, chipmunks, and marmots, as well as snow capped mountains in July.

There has been a Jes sighting … 🐝

The region was originally home to the Timucuan people. And later became a cotton plantation. It’s tucked beneath towering pine trees. It’s filled with RVs, cozy cabins, and glamping vibes. You can find a pool, pickleball and do a lot bit of fishing. Where am I am? Who let me tag along?

Jes left the Big Apple and headed south. 🐝🗽

He met up with this family on the beautiful sandy beaches. He took a walk on the boardwalk and took a swim in the water. This place is known for exciting car races and the giant Slingshot ride that launches riders high into the sky! 🌊🐠🐬

It was a wonderful day representing our JES Family at the Summer Leadership Conference. We were able to share what we have done to build positive school culture throughout our school and community.
