What's the difference between a food drive vs food distribution?

Food drives are typically held by a business, group, or organization to collect food to donate to the food bank or a food pantry. Food distribution is when food is distributed.

For example, a food pantry has a food distribution once a month! You can host a food drive to donate to the food bank!

BLESSING BOXES Any non-perishable and shelf stable items can be placed in the area Blessing Boxes. They originated to help homeless but have become blessings to those who are not homeless but need help feeding their families. Pop- top cans and manual can openers are still useful for those who don't have a stable living place. Drop off is anytime that is convenient for you. Please do not leave money or gift cards. Only food, hygiene items and warmth items like gloves or knit style hats or scarves. Be sure to close doors after you donate so that wind and rain do not get into the cabinet. If you have items to donate but cannot get to the boxes, please comment below and someone will contact you about picking the items up.BL
