FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Jarrell Police Department is investigating a burglary of a motor vehicle that occurred this morning in the 200 block of Riverdale Drive.

Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity involving two male subjects who were observed on video entering a resident’s vehicle. Jarrell Police arrived in the area within approximately one minute of the call being dispatched.

Upon arrival, officers encountered one of the individuals near the scene, who fled on foot as officers attempted to make contact. Additional law enforcement resources, including deputies from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and a drone team, responded to assist in the search. Despite extensive efforts, the individuals have not yet been located.

The investigation remains active, and officers continue to pursue all available leads while working diligently to identify those involved and gather additional evidence. Investigators are processing evidence recovered at the scene as officers continue their efforts.

At this time, there is no known threat to the public. The Jarrell Police Department remains committed to the safety of our community and will continue proactive patrol efforts throughout our neighborhoods.

Residents play an important role in helping prevent vehicle burglaries and keeping our neighborhoods safe. Residents are also encouraged to promptly report suspicious or criminal activity to law enforcement. Even small preventive measures can significantly reduce opportunities for these types of crimes.
