Welcome to the new month of Iyar on the biblical calendar! And Shabbat shalom!

This new month is about ( so you will know what to expect, pray and receive what is available to you, as well as what to contend against and stand through and for:

The month of Iyar (April–May) is primarily defined in biblical tradition as a time of healing, transition, and light, connecting the redemption of Passover (Nisan) with the revelation of Shavuot (Sivan/ Pentecost ). Known as Chodesh Ziv (Month of Radiance) in 1 Kings 6:1, it symbolizes spiritual growth and the rectification of the soul (emotions and will, etc)

Key Biblical and Spiritual Symbols

Healing & The Name (אייר): An acronym for Ani Adonai Rofecha ("I am the Lord who heals you"), based on Exodus 15:26. This relates to the curing of bitter waters at Marah.

The Letter Vav (ו): Symbolizing a hook or connection, this letter represents Iyar’s role in connecting Passover and Shavuot, bridging heaven and earth.

The Ox (Ta**us): Representing the Shor (Ox), symbolic of the soul's refinement. The ox plows the soil, just as Iyar requires cultivation of character.

Manna & Water: The month the Israelites first received supernatural provision of manna (Exodus 16) and when tradition says Miriam's Well accompanied them, representing sustained healing.

The Tribe of Issachar: Known for wisdom, understanding of times, and Torah study. A call to greater deep dives into the Word.

Blossoms (Ziv): A reference to the springtime blossoming of nature , of beauty from ashes (Song of Songs 2:12) and the "radiance" of God.
