JME (Jacksonville Music Experience) has dedicated Saturday nights at 8pm to local music with Hurley Winkler at the helm.

Seven years ago (!!!?) Hurley interviewed me and a handful of other Jacksonville Zine makers (one of my favs - ) for Folio Weekly.

That was at the beginning of my volunteer work with the Jacksonville Public Library to bring attention to the Zine catalog, host free Zine workshops, co-founded Duval Comic and Zine Fest ().

Seeing passions for local artists given the weight it truly deserves, and positions given to those who *do the work* as they continue highlighting local talent IS A WIN FOR THE WHOLE ARTISTIC COMMUNITY! A win for Jacksonville culture!

Hey local musicians, submit your work to JME!!!

Last Mondays, River City Ra**ch will be posted up for a two hour block Riverside Liquors.

RSL is a long favorite local spot for tapas, daily specials, craft cocktails and an in-house store that offers free corkage from any wine purchased there.

They’ve offered us a generous space in a casual atmosphere to talk, read and make zines.
I’ll have a mini zine library for flipping through, materials on hand for demonstrations and best practices or we can just talk about zines, self publishing or really anything that comes up.
