Opera Jacksonville

It is with a heavy heart that Opera Jacksonville shares the passing of Sonia Lewis, our General and Artistic Director. Sonia battled cancer gracefully and was at the Community Hospice O’Neal Center for Caring at her passing, surrounded by her loving daughters Jillian Leigh (Executive Director of OpJax) and Audrey Lewis.

A memorial service celebrating her life and music is being planned. Details will be released at a later date. Please keep the family and the host of friends and musicians she touched in your thoughts and prayers.
