We are making good progress on our addition project. There is more framing to do on this roof than the entire addition itself. In order to make this owners suite and covered lanai addition look like it was always part of the house, we are having to overframe and undo previous years of add ons. It's complicated, but we are up for the challenge.

So... this is a new one. During the course of a typical remodel and addition, we got to be a part of draining, cleaning, and replumbing the pool.It's not overly complicated, but it's definitely new and different for us. That's a reason we love what we do, you never know what new and different facets of this industry you'll undertake.

We are back at it, after weeks of rain, on our remodel. On the second level, we've used system for the waterproofing. The composite decking gets installed over 2x4 pressure treated "sleepers" that are glued down, so we have no penetrations through our waterproof deck. This also allows water to pass through the deck boards and flow away from the house. The sleepers extend past the deck about 1/2" to allow the water to weep and the ends are trimmed out with a 1x fascia board.
