DJ/ARTIST SHOWCASE: BOBBY AMTRAK

DJ Bobby Amtrak, a 43 year old native of Jacksonville and a longtime staple in the local scene has been around since the early 2000s. In the late 90s he found Trance and electronic music, and fell in love. He had some friends who were DJ’s and decided early on that he would be mixing tracks himself whenever listening to music. So he got some belt driven stanton turntables and started down the path. It was always just a hobby, with no real desire to make it into a career or to get a bunch of people’s attention. It was all about the skills, and sharing the amazing music that he would collect over the decades.

After playing Trance strictly on Vinyl from 2000 to 2010s he took a step away from the scene. Went and had a family and returned with a new found desire to share the skills on the decks, and to share the amazing music in his arsenal. With an aggressive mixing style with fast, aggressive and well phrased transitions. He always aims to keep the energy moving constantly up and down, never stale, never boring. When the train is coming down the tracks, everyone knows and they better take notice!

He will be returning to play with the promotion that gave him an early start, SOUND UNION! This upcoming Trance set is sure to be filled with classics, and absolutely unheard gems of musical artistry! If you enjoy classic Trance, or just electronic music in general.
