Day 1 of our Safety Patrol Trip!

06/11/2025

We are so proud of Officer Torres and wish her much success in her new role!

🚨 A New Chapter Begins 🚨

We are proud to recognize a historic moment for the Duval County School Police — the first-ever group of our Guardians have officially crossed over to become Law Enforcement Officers. 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

After months of intense training and unwavering dedication at the Police Academy, these individuals stood tall, pushed through every challenge, and never gave up. While others began this journey alongside them, they are the only ones who remained — a true testament to their strength, perseverance, and heart.

From protecting our schools as Guardians to now stepping into full law enforcement roles, they continue to show what it means to serve with honor and commitment.

👏 Join us in celebrating their incredible accomplishment! This is just the beginning. 💙🖤

Congratulations to Jordyn, who was selected as this year’s Tommie Tyson Scholarship winner! We are so proud of her!

Start your Sunday with some good news! Jordyn, a bright student from Central Riverside Elementary, is this year’s Tommie Tyson Scholarship winner.

She earned the honor with a thoughtful 250-word essay about what the upcoming safety patrol trip to Washington, D.C. means to her. Her essay stood out among the rest, and now she’s preparing for an exciting adventure next month alongside our officers and fellow safety patrol members.

Congratulations, Jordyn! We’re so proud of you.
