Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza


Ingredients


2 packages crescent rolls
1 pound sausage
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
4 large eggs
2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
Salt and pepper to taste


Directions


1. Go ahead and preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Roll out your crescent rolls onto a baking sheet, pressing the seams together to make a nice crust.
3. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, or just until it’s lightly golden and set.
4. While the crust bakes, brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Once it’s cooked through, sprinkle in the flour and stir it around so the sausage is nicely coated.
5. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking continuously. Let it simmer until the gravy thickens up. Add a sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste.
6. In a bowl, scramble your eggs and cook them in a lightly greased skillet until they’re just set but still soft.
7. Now, spread that creamy sausage gravy all over your baked crescent crust. Then layer on those soft scrambled eggs and sprinkle everything with shredded cheese.
8. Slide the pizza back into the oven for another 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
9. Slice it up, serve hot, and enjoy a comforting, hearty brunch!
