To serve the Mississippi fire service community and the world by providing quality education and training in fundamental and advanced skills to save life and property. MSFA offers over 120 courses, training more than 15,000 students from Beginner Fire Fighter classes to the elite Smoke Divers, EMS and Fire Services (inspectors, investigators, etc.) annually. Oh and don’t forget! We love fire safety and prevention and offer tours and classes for groups!

MSFA’s 3rd Open Enrollment FF-I-II class is now open for registration. This delivery will start on July 20th, 2026. Registration will remain open until July 13, 2026. This is a Field Program that will be taught at your department, and all chapter tests will also be administered at your department. This program is broken into 4 separate modules, and the skills tests for each module will be administered at the MSFA on dates that are scheduled by the .

We had a great turnout for the First Responders CNG Training! Thank you to Christopher Culberson, Manager of Customer Care, and David O'Brien, Training Manager, Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies; Kristi Anderson, CNG Program Manager, Waste Management; Clinton Fire Department; and Training Chief Hayes Nix, Clinton F.D.
