Congratulations to former Raider Dakota Jordan ('22) for being named to the MLB Futures Game at 11am on Sunday, July 12, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia as part of All-Star Week. The game will air exclusively on NBC.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! 50 days until your defending State Champion Raiders take the field! The 2026 season begins on August 14th at Leake Academy — kickoff is set for 7:00pm.

From the first whistle to the final game, our athletes demonstrated dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. The 2025-2026 athletic year at Jackson Academy was one for the record books, with six state titles across five sports, five state runners-up finishes, a program-record 20 athletic college scholarship signings, three Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozen selections including the first two ever in football, and two Gatorade Mississippi Players of the Year. It was a year that reminded everyone watching what Raider athletics is all about.

Kickoff is just over 9 weeks away, and we're updating the record book in anticipation of another season of Raider football.

One record that got a new owner last fall belongs to Jo Walker.

Walker rewrote the JA Football record book by throwing for a school-record 1,927 yards in a single season, setting a new standard for future Raiders. He finished with 22 TDs in the air and tossed 158 passes before his only interception of the year. He also had 75 carries for 490 yards and 9 TDs.
