Last week, we brought our Funding Futures families together for the very first time to celebrate the students, families, and mentors who make this community what it is. ✨

This is why we do what we do 💙📚

She is one of many students who started with us in elementary school, graduated high school, and has just completed her first year of college. She continues to be part of TLC, and it’s been a privilege to be part of her journey.

Watching students grow from early learners into graduates and beyond is at the heart of our work.

This summer, she’s coming back to support the next generation of students.

Full circle moments like this remind us what’s possible when students are supported over time, and we are so proud of her and all of our students we have the privilege to cheer.

Esto es por lo que hacemos lo que hacemos 💙📚

Ella es una de muchos estudiantes que comenzaron con nosotros en elementary school, se graduaron high school y ahora han completado su primer año de universidad. Ella continúa siendo parte de TLC, y ha sido un privilegio ser parte de su camino.

Ver a los estudiantes crecer desde sus primeros años de aprendizaje hasta la graduación y más allá es el corazón de nuestro trabajo.

Este verano, ella regresa para apoyar a la próxima generación de estudiantes.

Momentos de círculo completo como este nos recuerdan lo que es posible cuando los estudiantes reciben apoyo a lo largo del tiempo, y estamos muy orgullosos de ella y de todos nuestros estudiantes a quienes tenemos el privilegio de acompañar y celebrar.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his belief in the power of education, equality, and hope.
As he said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.”
Together, we read, learn, and grow, helping every young reader take steps toward a brighter, fairer world. TLC will be closed today in observance of MLK. We will return tomorrow at our regular time.

Hoy honramos al Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. y su creencia en el poder de la educación, la igualdad y la esperanza.
Como él dijo: “La función de la educación es enseñar a pensar de manera profunda y crítica.”
