Most everyone knows that I am in recovery... almost thirty years since I had a drink. I learned to drink in college and never really "grew out of that". So, life is a lot better, and mornings a lot clearer, than they used to be all those years ago.

As a restaurateur, I employ a lot of people.. many of whom remind me of my former self. Fun is fun, but when fun stops being fun, help is needed.

For decades we have had an amazing free resource for recovery right here in the heart of Jackson. YANA... that "little yellow house on Hartfield Street" has been a central home for AA meetings and a place hundreds upon thousands of Mississippians have ventured through on the road to sobriety.

Many of you saw the news a month ago about the mentally ill man who burned down the side of the house. Well, insurance covers some of the work, but not all. And the YANA HOUSE needs us!

PLEASE.. on this holy weekend... look into your heart and see if you cannot offer up a donation to help rebuild this magical, spiritual, transformational place.
