ed North Division titles in 1999 and 2005, but they fell in the Southern League Championship Series both years. In 2007, the Diamond Jaxx began a major league affiliation with the Seattle Mariners. That same year, the organization was purchased by its current ownership group. Jackson Baseball Club LP is a group of Nashville-based investors led by majority owner David Freeman, Chairman and CEO of the NHL's Nashville Predators. In 2010, the team rebranded as the Jackson Generals. Two years later, the team had its best season as a Mariners' affiliate. In 2012, the Generals had the best record in the Southern League and made it all the way to the Southern League Championship Series. In 2016, the team won it's second league championship. The Generals tied a franchise-record with 84 victories before going 6-1 in the postseason. Led by league MVP Tyler O'Neill, the Generals swept Mississippi in the championship series to cap off an incredible year. After the 2016 season, the team announced it had agreed to a four-year player development contact with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the team has been affiliated with the Diamondbacks since. The Ballpark at Jackson is a 6,000 seat Minor League Baseball stadium located in Jackson, Tennessee. Opened in 1998, it has been the friendly confines of the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx and now the Jackson Generals. The Ballpark at Jackson was built by the City of Jackson, Tennessee and is the home of the Jackson Generals of the Southern League. The Generals are the Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. The stadium is located east of downtown Jackson and is visible from Interstate 40.
