The National Museum of Wildlife Art Show opened last night in Jackson and really had some outstanding art. Several of our gallery artists were in the show. Jim (Wilcox) had a piece this year that was a bit of a departure from his normal landscapes. See photo. It is called “Katmai Fish Market”, and shows two big Katmai griz “fishing” next to each other in the water, watching for the upstream salmon to streak by or jump to become their tasty dinner. A fascinating place to visit and watch this yearly fish feast. See photo, or visit the museum show now up through the end of September!
