wanted to create a sisterhood for women to express and share their joys and pains of motherhood, and care and concern for children and women's health and rights issues. Sigma Beta Xi Sorority was created with all of these things in mind; and HerStory began. The two founders, donned The Guiding J.E.W.E.L.S., laid the foundation for this illustrious organization. Guiding J.E.W.E.L. Kapreia Sharif and Guiding J.E.W.E.L. Both toiled long and hard researching Greek life, its origin and other organizations. They recruited a few friends to help the along the way. These two women, also revered the purpose for Sigma Beta Xi. They were donned The Sapphire J.E.W.E.L.S. With the assistance of these two intelligent and dedicated women, Sigma Beta Xi Sorority was becoming a reality.Sigma Beta Xi Sorority, Incorporated promotes self improvement, community service and higher education.
